Bold Lines

bold bodies tell bold stories

Women are like constellations, and I plan to trace the line of their light across the world. As a plus size, feminist writer, I want to learn and tell the stories of how societal and cultural standards on female bodies across the world impact them.

About Me

My name is Shaela Dansereau, I am a journalist, an advocate for female empowerment and travel enthusiast. As someone who has lived my entire life in a body that doesn’t meet society’s standards I know what it feels like knowing my beauty is not the ideal- and it has taken a long time for me to accept that. Come along with me on my journey as I travel and tell the stories of women across the world and how their country’s standard for beauty and body has impacted them- and how I learn to love my body in every stage along the way. I want to tell the Bold stories of our Bold bodies that dare to draw the Bold line and love ourselves regardless of societal standards.

What is the greatest lesson a woman can learn?

That since day one. She’s already had everything she needs within herself.

It’s the world that convinced her she did not.
